How it works

Before buying, make sure your phone supports eSIM. iPhones from the XR onwards and most modern Android devices (Android 12+) are compatible. You can check by going into your settings and looking for the eSIM option, or by dialing *#06# to see your EID (eSIM identification number).

Download the Yesim app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). The app is free and available in 22 languages. Create your account using your email address or your Google account.

Browse through the app and select your destination country or region. Yesim offers prepaid bundles (e.g. 5GB/15 days), unlimited plans (e.g. 7 days unlimited), or the Pay & Fly pay-as-you-go system. Read the plan details to confirm coverage and conditions.

Choose your payment method from Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cryptocurrencies. After payment, you will immediately see your purchased plan in the app with a QR code and activation details.

You have three options: 1) Fast Mode (recommended): tap 'Install now' in the Yesim app and follow the instructions; 2) QR scan: go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager, tap 'Add mobile plan', then scan the QR code; 3) Manual: enter the activation code provided by email.

Once the eSIM is installed, activate your plan before your trip or upon arrival at your destination. Go into your network settings, select Yesim as your main data plan, and turn on data roaming. The plan will be active and you will automatically connect to the best local network.

✅ Make sure your phone is unlocked with your current carrier. If you have an iPhone, check that iOS is up to date (15.6 minimum). For Android, accept all security warnings during installation. If the issue persists, restart your phone and try the Manual option by entering the activation code. Contact Yesim support via in-app chat if the problem continues.

✅ First check that data roaming is enabled in Settings > Connections. Make sure the Yesim plan is set as your primary data plan. Restart your phone once the eSIM is installed. If you have just arrived in a country, wait 5-10 minutes for your phone to connect to the local network. If the problem persists, contact support – there may be a compatibility issue with your local operator.

✅ Unlimited plans are subject to a Fair Usage Policy: after a daily data limit (usually 1-5GB depending on the country), your speed may be reduced. Check your current usage in the Yesim app. To keep full speed, purchase an additional plan directly in the app. You can also top up your Ycoins balance (internal currency) and use the Pay & Fly system.
