Customer reviews

4/5

Easy to buy and install eSIM plans, with very wide coverage. The QR code receipt is immediate and connection works well in several tested countries.

4/5

Used for a trip combining several Asian countries with a regional bundle. Very practical not to change SIM at each border, even if speeds varied slightly by city.

4/5

Convenient solution for working on the go, especially thanks to tethering and price transparency. Some speed drops in rural areas but overall reliable.

Description

Flysimio offers prepaid travel eSIMs for 184 countries, designed to provide reliable data connection upon landing without a physical SIM card or traditional roaming fees. Plans range from small data volumes to unlimited options with fair use, over typical durations of 7 to 30 days, and include tethering. Subscription is done on the website, with payment by card or wallet, then immediate receipt of a QR code to install on a compatible smartphone. Flysimio is particularly suitable for frequent travelers, multi-country road trips, and digital nomads who value pricing transparency and easy activation.

How it works

Go to the Flysimio website, select the country you are traveling to or a regional bundle if crossing multiple borders, then browse the available plans.

Compare data volumes, validity duration and price, taking into account your intended use (browsing, social networks, remote work) and number of days on site.

Confirm your purchase from the plan page, then pay with your bank card or via Apple Pay / Google Pay depending on the options offered at payment.

After payment, Flysimio immediately sends an email containing the activation QR code and, if necessary, the manual code. Open this email on another screen or print it to facilitate scanning.

On iPhone XS or later, go to Settings, then Cellular Data, choose Add eSIM and use the QR code option. Scan the Flysimio code and follow instructions until installation is complete.

On a compatible Android smartphone, open Network & Internet or SIM settings, select Add eSIM, then scan the Flysimio QR. Confirm the addition and set this line as the source for mobile data.

Once you arrive in the country, ensure the Flysimio line is selected for mobile data and that data roaming on your main SIM is disabled. The phone will then automatically connect to the local partner network.

⚠️ If it fails

✅ Check that your phone is eSIM compatible and unlocked. Make sure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network during installation. If scanning fails, use advanced settings to manually enter the activation code received by email.

✅ Restart your phone, verify that the Flysimio line is set as the data source and that mobile data is enabled. Toggle airplane mode off and on, then try reconnecting to the local network.

✅ Monitor your usage from the dashboard or phone settings, limit HD streaming and automatic updates, and disable large background downloads.

✅ A fair use policy may apply on unlimited plans, reducing speed after a certain daily volume. Adjust your heavy usage (video, cloud) or choose a plan with more data if you need high continuous speeds.

FAQ

For a city trip or a week in Europe, a dedicated country plan, for example for France, Italy or Spain, with 5 to 10 GB over 7 to 15 days, generally covers browsing, social media and some streaming. Multi-country travelers can opt for a regional Europe bundle to avoid changing eSIM.

Flysimio plans are data-only and usually allow tethering on compatible smartphones. However, check your device settings and avoid heavy use if on an unlimited fair use plan, to limit risk of speed throttling.

Flysimio works on eSIM-compatible devices such as iPhone XS and later models, as well as most Android flagships released since 2020. Carrier-locked phones must be unlocked to install a third-party eSIM profile.

After purchase, you have about 6 months to activate the eSIM. The plan’s validity duration, 7, 15 or 30 days, only starts counting down when your phone connects for the first time to the network of the covered country.

Flysimio offers a 7-day refund policy after purchase, usually without questions or complex conditions. In case of issues, contact support quickly by email to request a refund or profile reissue.

You can monitor your data use via the online dashboard and phone settings, which show consumption by card and app. It is recommended to regularly check this info to adjust your usage or buy extra if needed.

Flysimio eSIMs are data-only plans and do not include classic voice calls or SMS. To communicate, use messaging and VoIP apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Signal, or others, relying on the data volume included in your plan.

Yes, most recent smartphones support using a physical SIM and an eSIM simultaneously. You can keep your main SIM for local or emergency calls and SMS, while assigning Flysimio eSIM for data use during your trip abroad.
