This page complements our Privacy Policy by detailing all cookies and trackers used on mybestsim.com, their purpose, their lifespan, and how you can control them.

1. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file placed by a website on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit it. It allows the site to remember information about your visit (language, choices, session ID, etc.).

We also use similar technologies :

  • localStorage and sessionStorage: browser-internal storage areas, functionally close to cookies but not sent with every request.
  • Invisible pixels: small images used to measure openings or loads.
  • Technical identifiers generated on the fly (e.g. a random session ID).

All these technologies are referred to on this page as « cookies » for simplicity.

2. Your choices: accept, refuse, customise

These cookies help us understand how you use the site, which pages work well and which need improvement. They are set only after your explicit consent.

3.3 Affiliate links and commission attribution

When you click on an eSIM offer, you are redirected to the partner provider’s site. Our commission is attributed via an identifier transmitted in the redirect URL (e.g. utm_campaign, irclickid, partner_id, ref, depending on the affiliate network: Impact Radius, Affilae, FirstPromoter, direct link, etc.).

No affiliate cookie is set on mybestsim.com. You can verify this yourself in your browser’s developer tools (DevTools → Application → Cookies).

Once on the partner site, that partner may set its own cookies on its own domain to track your visit. These cookies are governed by the partner’s privacy policy — we have no access to or control over them.

Important: your choice in the cookie banner above does not affect the commission paid to MyBestSim when you purchase from a partner. Attribution works via the URL and remains properly tracked whether you accept or refuse cookies. You can therefore refuse cookies without depriving us of our remuneration.

6. What happens if you refuse cookies?

If you refuse audience measurement and affiliate cookies, you can continue using the site normally and access all eSIM comparisons. No essential functionality depends on these cookies.

However, we will not be able to :

  • Measure audience to improve the site
  • Offer you the most relevant offers based on your habits
  • Receive the affiliate commission when you buy from a partner (which funds the free nature of the service)

You have the same rights over the data collected via cookies as those described in our Privacy Policy (access, rectification, erasure, objection, withdrawal of consent).
